I've experienced several breakthrough moments with clients, but the most profound are when they realize their own inner power to transform their lives. As a therapist, my role is to guide clients in becoming their own therapist—helping them challenge limiting beliefs and empower themselves in the process. The most rewarding moments are when clients reach the point where they can take control of their lives and define their own path.
I offer recommendations to help improve your mental health, such as homework, techniques, or education on skills and diagnoses. As the client, you're in charge. You lead, and I guide. If something isn’t working, it's important to tell me. You should also come to therapy prepared, knowing what you want to discuss based on your goals. My role is to support you in reaching those goals.
In the first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other. I’ll share details about treatment approaches, explore your treatment plan and goals, and explain my therapeutic style.
What motivates me to be a therapist is the opportunity to help others navigate their challenges and improve their mental health. I’m driven by a passion for understanding human behavior and the desire to support people in their journey toward healing and personal growth. Being able to witness and contribute to someone's progress, no matter how small, is incredibly rewarding and meaningful to me.
Highlights
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Therapy is a voyage we embark on together, much like unpacking a suitcase filled with tangled thoughts and emotions. I am your co-pilot, equipped with evidence-based strategies and expertise to help navigate the journey. Picture us as adventurers, delving into the depths of your mind to unravel complexities and discover newfound clarity. Along the way, I will be your guide, empowering you to steer your own mental wellness ship with confidence and resilience. Together, we will untangle the knots, lighten the load, and set sail towards a brighter horizon. Life is a journey, together we will unpack weights to help you travel light. I am a therapist who assigns “homework” or “in between session” work because it holds both of us accountable and helps us to be intentional about staying focused on things that will help you reach your mental health goals.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy & Trauma-Focused Therapy.
