FAQs

I recently experienced a significant breakthrough with one of my clients, which was incredibly rewarding. This particular client struggled with negative thoughts from trauma she had suffered from. Over the three months I worked with her she was able to use the safe space to process through the trauma and decrease her negative thoughts. She felt more empowered in her life and hopeful about the future.

In a counseling session with me, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can feel comfortable and at ease.I am open to anything that clients would like to discuss that might have happened during their week or even years ago. I will be a guide to help them process negative emotions and create solutions together. Sessions are collaborative and clients will leave with coping skills to implement in between sessions. The collaborative approach focuses on the clients’ ability to trust the process and open themselves up to discovering their full potential in their life.

A first session with me is all about building rapport. I'll create a welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. We'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will also work to obtain a psychosocial history to gain an understanding of how your life experiences have had an impact on who you are today. I take time to explain the therapy process, confidentiality, and answer any questions clients might have. This helps set clear expectations and ensures clients to feel informed and involved from the start.

I am very passionate about working in the mental health field. As a therapist, I have a genuine belief in the power of therapy to make a difference in people's lives. I believe building connections with people and witnessing their growth is incredibly rewarding for me and it drives me everyday to make a positive change in people's lives.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am deeply empathetic person and an excellent listener. I've been told by many clients and client's parents that I'm easy to talk to and I'm willing to discuss any topic that the client brings to session. Within sessions, I try to create an atmosphere that is non-judgmental and supportive. I work to end the stigma and shame around mental health. Being that I am a type one diabetic, it enables me to relate to my client's sho struggle with chronic illness.
