About Me

Hi there, I'm Beverly Morgan-Fullilove. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 40 years of experience working in clinical settings, ranging from an inpatient psychiatric hospital to a battered women's residential program. I help people who are easily overwhelmed to learn distress tolerance techniques and stress management skills. Together, we can strategize about what to do to help you to manage your emotions. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I also integrate mindfulness, meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself. Whether you're dealing with overwhelming relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. My approach combines humanistic, family systems theory and cognitive-behavioral counseling. I am focused on the here and now and in how past events effect your thoughts and feelings. I want to know what is important to you and how we can move you towards your mental wellness goals.     What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

    I utilize evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical-behavioral therapy. I am an expert in psychotherapy, you are an expert in yourself, and I believe you already have many of the answers inside of you. Your treatment plan will be individualized and tailored to fit your specific needs. Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy.

    Explain to clients what you feel are your biggest strengths.

    I have worked with toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, military, and geriatric populations in individual therapy, personality testing, and neurocognitive assessments. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, social anxiety, mood disorders, chronic illness, chronic pain, terminal illness and death and dying. I am also interested in working with individuals with traumatic past events, mild cognitive impairment, and caregivers. My focus population is on adults 18 and over.
