Laura Reffner
Hi! My name is Laura Reffner, and I am a Resident in Counseling working toward licensure as a Professional Counselor. I have experience working in the hospital setting with adults, children, and those struggling with addictions. I am passionate about helping others recognize their value - that is not determined by their life circumstances or hardships. Everyone has a unique story with challenges to overcome, and you don’t have to do it alone. I’d love to help you on your journey to find freedom, confidence, and a full life!
One of the most meaningful breakthroughs I’ve had with a client was when they were navigating grief and loss. They shared how comforting it was to realize they weren’t alone in their experience, especially when they learned it was normal to go through the stages of grief multiple times. The sense of relief and comfort they felt in that moment was deeply meaningful to me.
Clients can expect me to take time to listen to and understand issues that are weighing on them and interfering with their daily lives. We will process root issues, where things are now, and learn skills to heal and move forward.
In our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and talk about what you'd like to work on and the goals you hope to achieve together. I know that the first step can feel like the hardest, so my goal is to create a warm and welcoming space where you feel comfortable and supported.
What drives me as a therapist is the belief that there is always hope, even when it feels out of reach. I’m passionate about helping people rediscover that hope and guiding them to see that it’s always there, waiting for them to find it.
