About Me

Hello, my name is Corinne Reilly and I make a point to treat people that I meet with respect, dignity, and kindness. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey with 7+ years of experience in various settings, such as, supportive housing for I/DD, outpatient community and private practice mental health, and in-community therapy. I will help guide individuals (of any age), families (however created), and couples who are seeking a therapist for support on the path to achieving healing and personal growth. My priority is to create a safe, no judgment atmosphere where you feel comfortable sharing parts of your life that you have struggled sharing in the past. I will help you navigate challenges in your life such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and self-esteem issues in hopes of creating balance in your life. I will collaborate with you to create an individualized plan and goal(s) that you want to accomplish. I will teach you how to use tools and strategies to reach your goal(s) with evidence-based techniques (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to name a few) that help you tackle barriers and go from just surviving to thriving in your life. I look forward to working with you and creating a happier, more balanced you. I am here for you; you can do this!

FAQs

I helped a married couple coming to therapy as the last resort before divorce, become connected again. The husband was not a believer in therapy but was willing to try as a bargaining chip in the divorce. In session there was a lot of yelling, misunderstandings and hurt feelings. I made sure that each felt heard, respected and that equal care was given to both. After many sessions of just tit for tat, blaming, and not hearing what each other was really saying, a turning point happened. The husband gained trust with me and chose to implement an intervention suggested in session. When they came back for a follow-up session, the energy between the two had shifted, the blame and hurt feelings subsided.

Every person is different, but I like to let the client feel in control of the sessions. I can offer a new perspective and new skills to empower you, but the tough work is yours. I believe that what you put into therapy is what you will get out of therapy. The more open you are to the process of therapy the better the outcome. We focus on how thoughts, feelings, and actions intersect and how our past, present and environment impact this.

My first session involves building rapport and creating a safe non-judgmental environment. I will be gathering demographics, identifying your focus, and empathetically listen to what brings you here today.

I knew I wanted to be a therapist at a young age. I have always been the one to help others and find fulfillment in helping others become the best versions of themselves. I feel accomplished when I see you becoming the person you want to be!

Highlights

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Everyone’s situation is unique. I will work with you to find the approach that works best for you. I strive to make sure all clients feel heard, understood, validated, and have as much support, guidance, and psychoeducation as they are willing to accept. Clients will gain insight into the life patterns that have caused instability. I believe that therapy is a team effort working toward the same goal(s). Let’s be a team and get over the barriers currently in your life.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

    I utilize evidence-based therapies, including:
