I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Board-Certified Counselor with over 7 years of experience helping people through life’s twists and turns. I use a real-life, client-centered approach rooted in CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness. I believe small, intentional changes can lead to meaningful results—and I’m here to help clients find clarity, confidence, and excitement about their lives. Outside of work, I’m a proud mom of four girls, a wife of 20+ years, and a big fan of dogs and humor. Life is busy, beautiful, and sometimes messy—and I bring that same down-to-earth perspective into the therapy room.
One breakthrough I’ll never forget was when a client realized they didn’t have to have everything figured out to start moving forward. They had been stuck in a loop of overthinking and self-doubt, feeling like they had to solve everything before taking a single step. Through our work together, they slowly began to trust that progress doesn’t require perfection—it just requires starting. Watching them shift from overwhelmed and frozen to confident and in motion was incredibly powerful. It reminded me how impactful even a small mindset shift can be when someone starts believing in their own ability to handle what life throws at them.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step—and that’s completely normal. My goal is to make the process feel comfortable, supportive, and totally down-to-earth. In our first session, we’ll simply talk about what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. No need to have it all figured out—just come as you are. From there, we’ll set goals together (big or small) and create a plan that fits you. Whether you're looking to feel less anxious, navigate relationships, or just cope with life a little better, we’ll move at your pace.
I get it—starting therapy can feel a little intimidating, but the first session is really just about getting to know each other and setting a relaxed, comfortable tone. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to work on (no pressure to have it all figured out), and how I can support you. I’ll share a bit about how I work, answer any questions you have, and make sure it feels like a good fit. By the end, you’ll have a better sense of what to expect moving forward—and hopefully feel a little lighter knowing you’ve taken the first step.
Honestly, what keeps me going as a therapist is seeing people find their way—whether that’s gaining confidence, learning to manage tough emotions, or just feeling heard for the first time. It’s an honor to be part of someone’s journey, especially when they take that first step toward real change. What really drives me is helping people recognize their own strengths, even when they can’t see them yet. I’ve seen so many clients go from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling empowered and more in control of their lives. That transformation is what motivates me every day. Plus, life is tough—and we all need someone to walk alongside us sometimes.
Highlights
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just need someone in your corner, I’m here to help! Although we WILL talk about the real stuff, therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or scary—it can be a space where you exhale, get real, and even laugh a little along the way. I like to think of it more like a conversation with someone who really listens, asks the right questions, and helps you untangle the mess in your head—without judgment. In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, non-judgmental, empathetic, supportive and collaborative place to explore meaningful change in your life. My goal is to help you gain clarity, feel more in control, and leave each session with something tangible—whether it’s a new perspective, a coping tool, or a small, achievable step forward.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy & Solution-Focused Therapy.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
If I had to pick just one strength as a therapist, it’s this: I show up as a real human—and I create space for you to do the same. I’m not here to fix you, lecture you, or nod silently while scribbling on a clipboard. I’m here to connect with you, listen deeply, and help you make sense of whatever you’re carrying. I bring empathy, honesty, a healthy dose of humor, and a knack for seeing the strengths in people—even when they can't see them yet themselves.
