Hi! I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lafayette College in Easton, PA. I have a graduate degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Seton Hall University and am licensed as an LPC. I have always had a strong interest in psychology and how the mind works. I am fascinated with the connection between mind and body, as it relates to mental health. I believe that these two aspects of life have a significant impact on each other. I have a wide range of experience in various aspects of mental health for children, adolescents, and adults. From developmental needs, struggles in life, or clients who simply need someone to talk to, I am here.
I have helped many teenagers through difficult times when they felt they had no one to talk to. These challenges were all unique in their own way, but we worked together for them to develop their own path and their own identity.
I allow my clients to tell me where they want to go with the session. It is their time and they should decide where they want to go with it.
My first sessions are a time for introduction and for me to get an understanding of what motivated clients to come see me. Of course, we have to complete the necessary housekeeping information, but also hope to get a sense of who they are and where they're coming from.
Knowing that everyone struggles at times in their lives and that I can help people get through these times.
Highlights
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to feel like they are truly being heard. They can expect to be able to go at their own pace to self-discovery. I would like for my clients to know that for the time they are with me, they are the ones that get choose where the session will go. They are being listened to and safe to say whatever needs to be said. I also want them to know that I am honored that they trust me with their vulnerability.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy & Psychodynamic Therapy, while also encorportaing an eclectic modality to encompass the needs of the client.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I believe that my strengths are based on allowing my clients to fully be themselves. When my clients are meeting with me, they are safe to be who they truly are. My strength is helping clients feel comfortable to explore who they are and what they need from me and from life.
