FAQs

Piecing together a client’s narrative to assist them understand the core challenge.

Though every person’s situation is unique, I generally approach the counseling process from a narrative therapy approach. Tell me your story so I can help piece the puzzle together.

My first is considered the most important, because I want the client to feel comfortable. The client has control over the session and the information they provide.

Assisting others in achieving their highest potential through a strengths-based approach. Everyone’s highest potential is different, let’s embark on this journey to find out what your highest potential is.

Highlights

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My counseling style is holistic, in that I do not utilize a “cookie cutter” approach. I combine various therapies to assist the patient through their challenges, with a focus on looking inward, whereby strength and positive self-esteem is built. I am focused on the here and now and I want to know what is important to you and how we can move you towards your mental wellness goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness, and empathic listening. I am an expert in psychotherapy, you are an expert in yourself, and I believe you already have many of the answers inside of you. Your treatment plan will be individualized and tailored to fit your specific needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including relationship struggles, co-dependency, incarceration, depression, anxiety, substance use, addiction, trauma, eating disorders, social anxiety, mood disorders, and psychosis.
