LaKeitha Branch is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey with over seven years of experience providing compassionate and evidence-based care to adults across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety and stress, trauma, grief and loss, ADHD, relationship conflicts, and life transitions. LaKeitha is dedicated to empowering clients to build insight, develop coping strategies, and foster lasting emotional well-being through a holistic, strengths-based, and humanistic approach. She is committed to guiding each client on a journey of healing and self-discovery, helping them uncover the best version of themselves.
I worked with a client who began deeply affected by fear, anxiety, and unrecognized trauma—avoiding crowds, struggling with negative self-talk, and feeling stuck in limiting beliefs. Through CBT (Cognitive BehavioralTherapy), she learned to challenge anxious thoughts and recognize positives in her life, while DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and somatic-based skills helped her manage anxiety and build confidence to pursue meaningful changes.
My approach is warm and person-centered, creating a space where clients feel safe to explore their emotions and experiences without judgment. I also emphasize the mind-body connection, helping clients develop greater awareness of how their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are interconnected. I seek to draw out the inner strengths of each client to help build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self. My goal is to understand what’s helpful and what’s not, and to walk alongside you through the ups and downs of the therapy process.
I refer to the first session as the getting to know you session. It is an open and supportive conversation aimed at understanding your concerns and identifying your goals. I use questions to gather information about your past experiences and influences, relational history, and current internal and external factors affecting your mind, body, and spirit.
My motivation is my genuine love for knowing and understanding people on a deeper level. I am driven by the desire to help those who are suffering find relief, and I find purpose in offering tools and support that empower them to heal and grow.
