Frequently Asked Questions

I was working with a client who struggled with negative self-judgments which contributed to their anxiety. The individual was able to find more helpful perspectives and learn skills to better manage their own anxiety.

Though every person’s situation is unique, I generally approach sessions as person centered while also utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Individuals will have the space to be able to heal and grow while also given evidenced based skills.

My first session is typically gathering a better understanding of who each client is and what is important to the client. During the first session, each client will set their own individualized goals to work towards in therapy. Finally, the individual will learn that counseling is a process and what to expect while in counseling.

I have a passion for helping people reach their goals. It is motivating as a therapist to be able to walk alongside someone in their journey, witnessing each milestone. I also love to learn about how the brain works and how to help others more effectively.
