About Me

As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I am passionate about providing thoughtful, evidence-based mental health care that is personalized to each individual's needs. My approach blends medical expertise with compassionate, nonjudgmental support creating a space where you feel heard, understood and empowered.

FAQs

One breakthrough I helped a client with was shifting their perspective on OCD treatment. They initially expected a complete elimination of symptoms, which led to frustration. Through our work together, they came to understand that remission often means managing symptoms, not erasing them entirely. This realistic outlook reduced their anxiety and helped them engage more fully in the treatment process.

Clients can expect a collaborative and supportive experience during their sessions with me. The sessions typically involve discussing symptoms, reviewing treatment progress, and evaluating how current medications are working. I will be able to provide education about medication options, address any side effects or concerns, and work closely with clients to adjust treatment plans as needed. The goal is to ensure that medication is safely and effectively supporting the client’s overall mental health and therapy goals.

The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding your mental health history. I’ll ask about your current symptoms, past treatments, any medications you’ve taken, and how they’ve worked for you. We’ll also discuss your goals for treatment and any concerns you may have about medication. If appropriate, I may recommend a medication plan, but there’s no pressure—we’ll make decisions together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel heard and informed.

What motivates me to be a nurse practitioner is the opportunity to truly help people and make a meaningful difference in their quality of life. I’m driven by the ability to support individuals through challenging times, offer compassionate care, and be a part of their journey toward better health and well-being. Knowing that I can have a positive impact, even in small ways, is what inspires me every day.
