About Me

Hi, I'm Caitlin Cummings and I am a licensed professional counselor with ten years of experience working in clinical settings, ranging from outpatient settings, inpatient psychiatric settings, to an alternative school program. I utilize a holistic, client-centered approach that focuses on all aspects of my client-mind, body, and soul. I strive to create a safe place for clients to explore their strengths and foster growth and progress towards wellness goals. Taking the next step in your wellness journey is one to be celebrated, and I am here to guide and support healing and growth! I can’t wait to work together!

FAQs

I once worked with an adolescent who suffered tremendous loss and trauma in her life. Through the therapeutic process, she slowly began to feel safe and we were able to identify small achievable goals to help her begin to heal. Through providing genuine care, she was able to grow and establish healthy strategies to begin to move forward.

As everyone has their own journey and life experiences that have brought them into exploring the therapeutic process, I generally approach the counseling process with a holistic approach to help identify my client’s strengths, as well as their treatment goals.

In my first sessions, I typically seek to create a non-judgmental space as well as celebrate the experience and journey of growth that the therapeutic process can offer. I use this time to get to know my clients as well as discuss how we can make our time most effective in achieving my client’s goals.

I have always been passionate about helping others, and I have found that feeling connected to others can help us grow and heal. My ability to be a part of that process with my clients is extremely humbling and rewarding.
