A client who was coping with triggers and symptoms of PTSD. This client was able to identify symptoms and triggers as I was able to hold a safe space the client was then able to then process their emotions. In developing rapport and trust together through our sessions this safe space was a result of this experience for the client. This was particularly significant to me as it is the greatest honor to know that a client has made a breakthrough in the work we do together.
They can expect development of trust and rapport. Creative approach and Utilization of humor. Interventions and coping skills that may be helpful for client(s). Active and empathetic listening skills. Empowering client(s) to develop their own voice.
Developing trust and rapport. Review of confidentiality between myself and my client(s). Any past history with other therapist(s) that may have or may not have been effective for client(s). Discussion of goals client(s) would like to achieve while in therapy.
I believe everyone has a story to be told, I want to give space for each person to share their story and develop their voice on their path to recovery.
