I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from William Paterson University. I have 8 years of experience in the mental health field working in various settings including inpatient hospitals, partial hospitalization treatment programs, outpatient therapy, and respite programs. I have a passion and affinity with helping clients come into their own discoveries and witnessing their growth throughout the process.
I worked with a client who reported having strained relationships with herfamily and friends due to her history of impulsive decision making andbehaviors. Together, we processed the route of her impulsivity and madeconnections to how her childhood experiences and trauma influenced herineffective coping. We were able to work together to develop effective coping skills thatworked for her including setting boundaries, using mindfulness techniques, prioritizing herself and her wellness.
In our sessions, you can expect for the counseling process to look like measking questions that will allow me to know you, learn your presentingconcern(s), and discuss what you are looking to achieve from attendingtherapy. Together, we will work to identify realistic treatment goals thatare specific to you, your needs, and your wants.
The first session will be an assessment — this allows me to ask youquestions about your history (background, family of origin, etc.). Thesequestions will help me to have a better understanding of who you are as aperson and what your treatment preferences are. This also gives us theopportunity to begin developing a therapeutic rapport.
I get to be a part of the growth journey with my clients. I recognize thatthis is a privilege that many may not have the honor to witness, andtherefore I take my role seriously. I believe that every client isdeserving and capable of having the quality of life they truly want anddesire.

I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Psychotherapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy & Trauma-Focused Therapy.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strengths are my heightened sense of awareness that allows me to“read the room”, notice changes, reactions/responses, and address them.Additionally, I would identify my ability to actively listen to and observewhat you are saying both verbally and non verbally as a strength because mostof human communication is in the form of actions/behaviors rather than words.
