I am a dedicated therapist with experience across various levels of care, from inpatient and outpatient psychiatry to day treatment programs for high school students. I have worked with adults, families, and adolescents, providing evidence-based, quality care. As a Level 1 Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I specialize in ADHD diagnosis and management, anxiety disorders, and also offer training in mindfulness, guided imagery, and deep relaxation techniques for stress management. If you’re looking for a compassionate, skilled therapist, I’d love to work with you.
One notable breakthrough was helping a client with OCD and school phobia overcome debilitating anxiety. By identifying and addressing maladaptive thought and behavior patterns, we developed coping strategies and adaptive thought processes. As a result, the client successfully completed school and earned a degree, managing overwhelming stress and anxiety while discovering her inner strengths and taking control of her life.
In typical therapy sessions, we start with a mood check-in to review how you’ve been since the last meeting and identify any challenges you’ve faced. We set an agenda to make the most of our time and cover all the areas you want to address. You’ll be encouraged to pinpoint specific struggles, and together we’ll break down these issues to understand what happened, how you managed, and what could be done differently. We’ll explore the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop new ways to respond to challenges. We’ll use coping strategies like thought records, deep relaxation, and mindfulness, and I invite feedback at the end of each session to ensure we’re making progress.
In our first session, we'll conduct an assessment to pinpoint the issues you're seeking therapy for, and review relevant past history that may have contributed to these challenges. Understanding the duration, development, and contributing factors, such as family, relationships, and work or school experiences, helps me tailor our work together effectively. We’ll establish therapy goals and a treatment plan, address any obstacles or concerns you might have about starting therapy, and set up specific days and times for our future sessions.
What motivates me as a therapist is helping individuals realize their full potential and guiding them to take control of their lives. Assisting someone in overcoming anxiety or depression and equipping them with tools for future challenges is deeply rewarding. The opportunity to coach clients through their struggles and see them thrive continues to drive my commitment to ongoing training and professional growth.
