Hi! I'm Megan. I'm a licensed clinical social worker based in New Jersey. I have always been a lover of stories, and throughout my over a decade working as a therapist, I have been honored to help people write the next chapter of their lives in a way that brings them a sense of peace and joy. I believe that true change in therapy comes from connection and collaboration between the client and therapist, and I create a comfortable, and judgement-free space for everyone that I work with. Outside of session, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, dancing, and exploring new places.
We often have negative stories in our heads that impact the way we view ourselves. These stories contribute to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. It is particularly significant for me when I help my clients re-write those narratives and view themselves in a more positive (and accurate) light.
Clients can expect their counseling process to feel like a comfortable, natural conversation. My clients often tell me that they are able to open up easily and feel supported and safe while working on difficult topics at a pace they are comfortable with. My sessions are typically a mix of insight oriented conversations, and skills to manage difficult emotions or to make lasting behavioral changes.
During a first session, I focus on beginning to develop a relationship by getting to know you, your story, and what brought you to therapy. We work together to establish early goals, and I provide each client with a practical tool or tip to leave with by the end of the first session.
I have always been an empathetic person, compelled by other people's stories and the human mind. I also always knew I wanted to be in a career where I could make a difference in other people's lives. I truly love my work and am honored each time a client allows me to be a part of their journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strength lies in my ability to connect with clients and provide a space where they feel heard, understood, and accepted. I work to help my clients gain insights into themselves, heal, and grow in self-acceptance and self-love.
