I feel like it's never too early or too late to make meaningful changes in life. Therapy is a scary word for many people, but when you look at it in its pure form, therapy is just a conversation between two people with the same goal of moving a person forward, and closer to their goals. I am a person who doesn't judge and just looks for the best path forward for my clients. I've been practicing for many years and love this work. I'll meet you where you are, and you and I can make a plan to help you become your best self.
I've had great success with a now 19-year-old, who is managing chronic health issues, severe OCD and anxiety and a complex family history. She is a motivated young lady with incredible insight and motivation to be well. Therapy is client driven. If you want to make changes in your life, we can get there together.
I'll start with finding out how your week went since our last session. I believe that, while working on goal related issues is critical, it's also important to address any new events, issues and concerns that have popped up since we met last.
I will generally follow your lead, initially, as mentioned above, and then we'll get into our goal-related work. I will keep an eye on the time and give you reminders as we get closer to the end of our session time. I will give you my full attention and care for your needs, while we work to help you move forward.
I love this work. That's the best way to say it. I'm a person who sees the potential in everyone and it's satisfying to me to be able to help people reach that potential and find joy in areas where before they found stress or a struggle.
