Within my training as a therapist, I have worked with various communities: college students, first-generation college students, BIPOC folks, Asian Americans, and community mental health settings. I can speak and conduct therapy sessions in English, Urdu, and Pashto. I enjoy working collaboratively and helping individuals develop healthy coping skills and enhance their strengths in order to develop a toolkit that can be utilized outside of therapy. I use techniques such as Mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and ACT. My goal is to give you a safe space where you can finally put into words the things we swallow throughout the day; formulating these thoughts and words can then help with formulating our hurts, wants and emotional needs. I am honored to be a part of your healing journey and help you achieve your mental wellness goals.
After experiencing several traumatic childhood events and developing maladaptive behaviors that was worsening the client's overall well-being, I was patiently able to work with her, one session at a time, to break these harmful patterns. Developing healthy coping skills, while also understanding and processing her trauma, allowed the client to work through her life's barriers and begin leading a life that was much more aligned with her values. She left a toxic and harmful workplace, established healthy boundaries in her social life, and began taking care of her physical and emotional health on a daily basis.
I love working with my clients collaboratively to help them achieve their goals. We will check in frequently with how you feel like you are progressing and I will provide feedback on patterns and themes I am noticing to ensure we are staying on track with your therapeutic goals.
The first session will be me getting to know you and you getting to know how I function as a therapist. It will be a lot of information gathering in order for me to be able to establish a strong foundation of you and your worldview. We will also discuss your expectations as well as goals out of therapy.
I want to break the stigma of reaching out for help and to get support for your mental health. After being in therapy myself and noticing how meaningful it is, I want to be able to give other people the safe space I once received to work through my own trauma.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
One of my biggest strength is my unconditional positive regard towards my clients. I believe every human deserves to have a warm and safe environment where they can explore and process their life experiences candidly in order to learn and grow. Having an unconditional positive regard allows clients to feel accepted and not judged by their clinician, which gives a good opportunity for the therapeutic rapport to build and solidify. This then further helps clients trust their therapist and achieve their mental health goals collaboratively with them.
