About Me

Hi I’m Ashley! After serving in the Army as a medic, I decided to get my Masters of Social Work to help couples and individuals navigate the stressors in their lives and empower them to meet their challenges. I have been working in mental health for over 5 years. I specialize in anxiety, PTSD, military issues and couples counseling. I also work with inter-abled couples & help them reconnect after the trauma of injury & navigate complicated dynamics.

FAQs

A breakthrough that was meaningful for me to be a part of, was when one of my couples discovered ways that they enabled each other to stay stuck in conflict patterns. This moment helped break the unhealthy conflict cycle and allow them to move forward with more understanding communication.

Counseling with me is solution oriented. I believe that people come to therapy to feel better; therefore, I will work with you to find the right tools to achieving your goals. I approach therapy holistically to leave no stone left unturned. Together, we will collaborate on the best path to achieving healing.

A first session with me is a comprehensive evaluation on the challenges you are bringing to therapy. The first session may feel like a first doctors appointment, but this will allow me to get the necessary information to help create goals with you. From there, we will choose an approach or modality that best fits you.

Seeing the healing that can be achieved through therapy motivates me to do this work. As a veteran, I know the struggles of mental health. Therapy has personally helped me, which allows me to pass on the work to others. Sometimes we need a guiding hand when we are feeling stuck and overwhelmed. I hope to continue walking alongside individuals on their journeys.
