Julia Compher
Julia believes that healing begins by meeting clients exactly where they are and creating a collaborative space where they feel supported, understood, and empowered. She works alongside each individual to identify the most beneficial path forward, helping them navigate challenges and move toward meaningful, lasting change. To support her clients' unique needs, Julia utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These modalities are designed to help clients develop practical skills, build resilience, and take intentional steps toward their personal goals. She is also certified in Level 1 Brainspotting, a trauma-focused approach that taps into the brain-body connection to promote deeper healing and emotional processing. Julia values an integrative approach to counseling, recognizing that each person's journey is unique. For clients who desire it, she thoughtfully incorporates a faith-based perspective into the therapeutic process, creating a space where emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being can be explored together.
The resilience to see their own inner strength and also see them apply that to making healthier decisions.
The intake session consists of building a foundational history for the client, family history and lived experiences. The first session and even the second session may be gaining a picture of what life has looked like for the client up to this point. By session two I will generally implement assessment toolsto gain further understanding.
