FAQs
Working with a client who suffered from social anxiety. After several months of focusing on exposure therapy my client was able to achieve small tasks such as going into a grocery store or to a pharmacy to pick up medications.
Therapy with my clients are client centered. In my sessions, we will always start where the client feels ready in order to avoid feeling pressured into conversations they may not be ready for. The goal is to build rapport and make the session effective for all parties involved.
My first session will be a general intake where I'd like to gather your reasoning for seeking services. I like to refer to it as our "outline" for treatment.
Seeing change and being able to connect with individuals without it feeling like "work." I think it's important for therapists to make their clients feel comfortable and not like they are superior to the client. We are all human at the end of the day and we are ALL working on ourselves to be the best possible version of ourselves.
