FAQs

I have helped a client overcome his OCD and be able to live a more fulfilling and successful life. He no longer is driven by the daily defeat that his thoughts and behaviors were bringing him. He now can go to work everyday confident in himself and get through his day, less controlled by his OCD.

The earlier sessions are about getting to know and understand the client. There will be a lot of deep reflection and a lot of considerations of what the client is hoping to get out of therapy and what they are hoping to improve and change. As the sessions go on, I believe it’s important for the therapist and the client to work together in figuring out the best solutions that will work for them. This is a very individualistic process that allows specific planning. This will be done through an open and nurturing environment, giving the client space to discuss what is most important to them.

The first session is really about getting to know the client and understanding them as a person and their experiences to give a springboard into future sessions. I believe it’s very important early on to establish trust and an environment where a client is most comfortable. This will allow for a foundation for setting goals.

I am motivated to be a therapist because I genuinely care about people and their stories. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported; especially during seasons of pain, confusion, or transition. Walking alongside individuals as they discover their strengths, find clarity, and move toward healing is deeply meaningful to me. I am inspiredby the resilience I see in clients and honored to be trusted with their experiences. My passion lies in creating a safe and compassionate space where growth feels possible and hope can be restored.
