I am a Licensed Social Worker and I have been in the mental heath field for the past 9 years working with a variety of client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, all within the PHP and IOP levels of care. My experience includes group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy in addition to conducting level of care assessments with clients and collaborating with external providers to determine the most appropriate recommendation for treatment. I have always been passionate about helping others and working with them to help make a difference in their lives, whether it be by identifying solutions to problems, assisting with providing resources, or by just simply being a positive listening ear.
A meaningful breakthrough that was particularly significant to me was related to a client I worked with who greatly struggled with anxiety and distorted thinking patterns pertaining to their social relationships. We worked together on challenging these negative thoughts through reality testing and cognitive behavioral interventions to help this client restructure their thoughts and learn to connect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It was great to see the progress achieved and the confidence the client had built which was shown in their improved social interactions.
Clients can expect the counseling process to be indidivually tailored to meet the needs that are most unique and specific to them. I believe that the most valuable progress comes from a strong therapeutic alliance, authencitity, and the motivation to put in the work it takes to reach one's therapeutic goals. Collaboratively, we will work together to understand the areas of focus, create attainable objectives, work through various interventions and action plans, and remain open and communicative throughout the therapeutic process.
Our first session will typically involve me getting to know you and learning more about what brings you into therapy. I will ask a variety of questions through open conversation to gather the necessary information and to get a better understanding of your needs, expectations, and hopes for treatment.
What motivates me to be a therapist is my desire and passion to help others reach their greatest sense of happiness and fulfillment. Everyone has their own unique story and challenges, and it is rewarding to know that as therapists we have the opportunity to help support others in their journeys of self discovery.

I feel that one of my greatest strengths is my ability to problem solve and find solutions even in the smallest of ways. I also lead with positivity and hopefulness when it comes to working with clients and helping them understand and process through difficult emotions.
