FAQs
I helped a client find their voice and independence in our sessions. I supported their parents in recognizing the role they played in their child's life, which helped them gain awareness on their behaviors and interactions that impacted my client. The parents learned how to "let go" of their protective behaviors and my client explored their independence through effective communication and advocacy, engaging in positive relationships, and exploring new experiences.
I use an integrated approach to help my clients work through their “junk” in effective, rational, and healthy ways. I meet you where you are and follow your pace. I listen and understand your needs and create goals to best support you during our therapeutic relationship. I empathize, validate, challenge, and confront. I am here to help you grieve, heal, and grow. I am here to help you recognize your worth and to learn that you are enough!
I value rapport building therefore the first few sessions will be focused on getting to know my client; learning about their reasons for coming to therapy, current/past hobbies and interests, relationships, positive/negative experiences that had significant impacts, coping skills, and therapeutic history. This would help us create a treatment plan that would be used as a road map during the therapeutic process to ensure my client's treatment focus is always in the spotlight.
Everyone has “junk”—whether it’s relational, emotional, financial, occupational, or something else. And everyone deserves support in managing that “junk”—a safe, nonjudgmental space to feel recognized, heard, and validated. I’m here to walk with you through that journey. You are worthy. You are deserving. You are enough. Together, we can start clearing out some of that “junk.”
