I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who earned my master's degree from Nathan Weiss Graduate College at Kean University. My therapeutic approach is integrative, client-centered and collaborative, seeking to meet my clients where they are at throughout their therapeutic journey. Utilizing evidence-based strategies from various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Action and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and trauma informed care/somatic strategies, I seek to support and assist clients in learning and applying coping tools and strategies to manage/reduce symptoms and improve overall well-being.
FAQs
One meaningful breakthrough involved assisting a client navigate and overcome barriers to re-establish a relationship with family after years of estrangement. Utilizing CBT and DBT skills, we navigated root causes of unhelpful thought patterns, emotional triggers and learned healthy communication techniques to rebuild connection.

The first session is the opportunity for us to get know one another and build therapeutic rapport to ensure that you feel that the counseling relationship is a good fit. We will explore what brought you to therapy, discuss your therapy goals and personal experiences/background, based on your comfort level, that may have influenced the seeking of support and intervention at this time. The first session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your expectations for therapy sessions and intervention and discuss what you are looking for in a therapist. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling safe, heard and respected.
The motivation to be a therapist comes from working with clients in their most vulnerable and challenging moments where ability to change and heal is questioned by themselves and being present throughout their journey of transformation witnessing every small step toward progress and change to be a better version of themselves. It is a powerful experience in witnessing individuals regain trust and safety within themselves, regain confidence and courage in their ability to navigate life challenges, be their authentic version of themselves and recognize and acknowledge progress toward being a better "you" is truly what is rewarding for me as a therapist.
