FAQs

A substantial chunk of my career has been spent working in inpatient psychiatric care. Within this setting, I have had the honor of helping many people work through crisis episodes. Crisis care is intensive and requires a plethora of clinical expertise as well as provider confidence to help people self-regulate. Through these experiences, I became passionate about learning new ways to teach clients how to move through crises such as panic attacks, intrusive OCD issues, dissociative symptoms, PTSD symptoms, substance use issues, anhedonic periods of hopelessness, and suicidal thoughts.

The therapeutic process will depend on your strengths, needs, and goals for therapy. We will work together as partners in the therapeutic process. This means that their approach will be tailored to meet your needs while your concerns and questions will always be validated. I believe that you are the expert on yourself and already have everything you need to succeed, but therapy can be helpful to bring those organic strengths to life!

You will get to know each other and go over therapy expectations. These topics will include your ethical right for confidentiality as well as its limitations. Feel free to ask questions about my work experiences and skill sets. I will ask you about what brought you to therapy, hear your story, and discuss goals for treatment. In summary, I hope to help you create a more fulfilling life, healthier relationships, a broader worldview, and a greater sense of self-love.

I love connecting with people and seeing them live their highest quality of life. Joy is a foundational component to life and I love helping others find it! Helping people thrive motivates me because I recognize how hard therapy can be and enjoy supporting people through that process. Mental health challenges can feel isolating, hopeless, and draining. This is why I remind people that they are not alone, that life is full of possibilities, and that change can be attainable through healthy growth and development.
