About Me

Hello, my name is Eileen Carmona. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 5 years experience working in different settings, ranging from substance use disorder treatment facility to in-home therapist working with at-risk youth. I help clients manage their anxiety, stress, depression and many other things. I collaborate with clients to create a plan and goals to bring a harmonious life. My first priority is for you to feel safe and welcome in each session we have together. Through time, we will tackle life’s issues and create a better outlook to problems. We can do this!


I worked with a client for some years regarding their core beliefs. Something my client struggled with was self worth and negative self talk. Through time, we were able to reflect and change things about how he viewed himself. He now has the confidence to set boundaries and recognizes he is important too.

Clients can typically expect the counseling process to always be client centered. I focus on the clients needs and work with what they would like to accomplish, despite what others might tell them outside of therapy. The goal is to always make sure my client can recognize their own capabilities and change their life for themselves.

My first session usually consists of getting to know each other. I share about what to expect in therapy. We discuss what you may be looking for in a therapist. I always encourage clients to ask questions and make sure that I’m a good fit for their needs.

I have always wanted to be in a field to help others in need. Through time, that turned to becoming a social worker. I love to look at the client as a whole and how their environment and relationships affect them.


    What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

    My counseling style involves being authentic and genuine, with kindness and compassion at the main heart of my approach. I focus on helping clients with issues that they are facing and encourage self determination to achieve their goals. It brings me so much joy knowing that you have taken the plunge to begin therapy. It takes courage and strength to work on yourself and I am excited to start this work with you.

    What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

    I utilize evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical-behavioral therapy. I make sure that my work is client centered, I believe that my clients have the answers to their own lives, but may need assistance in figuring things out for themselves. I will create a treatment plan with you that will be unique to your needs.

    Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

    I have worked with children, adolescents, and the adult population in individual and group therapy. I have experience in doing various types of assessments to assist in clients finding what level of care and type of care would work best for them. Clients that I have assisted have had a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders and psychosis. My focus population at this time are adolescents and young adults that are suffering with issues pertaining to anxiety, depression that may come from interpersonal relationships, school stress and family relationships.
