About Me

I am a Resident in Counseling with over 10 years of experience working with a variety of cultures with issues such as life transitions, anxiety, depression and adolescent issues. Have you ever felt like you could not move past the feelings of loneliness? Or feeling like past trauma is preventing you from being your best self? You may feel like you’re not understood or find it hard to break overwhelming patterns that impacts you daily. There comes a time in your life where it’s time to break old habits and work on a better version of yourself. Seeking help is one of the most challenging steps and I am here to guide you through this process! I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and enjoy working closely with individuals and families- including adolescents. My appointments are accommodating to working professionals and busy parents, which includes telehealth and late evening appointments. I appreciate you considering me as your support and I look forward to working with you. Patrice Wilson, MA, LPC-A Resident in Professional Counseling, is under the clinical supervision of Ebony Harrison, LPC, while obtaining supervised post-master’s degree experience per the laws and regulations governing the practice of Professional Counseling.


A previous client struggled with sexual assault by multiple family members and could not discuss the incident. After working with the client, she was able to open up and process her emotions.

The counseling process with be collaborative. I will be realistic about their goals, but supportive.

My first session is about gaining information and understanding why the individual(s) are seeking help. Also, understanding their needs and expectations from me.

I am motivated by watching each person make an effort to have a better life and find ways to make changes.


    What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

    My goal is to help you achieve realistic goals where you are able to cope in a healthy manner beyond therapy. I strongly believe that therapy is a balance and a collaborative effort to gradually see a change. I aspire for us to create a safe space when you feel heard and comfortable to let emotions flow.

    What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

    I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy & Trauma-Focused Therapy.

    Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

    I feel the working with the military population and adolescents are my biggest strengths. I focus on the person and their personality throughout this process.
