About Me

Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys helping adults who are exhausted from life's challenges. Perhaps you are struggling with significant losses, phobias, stress, anxiety, or negative experiences from your past that are affecting your present life. Maybe you find yourself depleted of energy from trying to fix everything, please everyone, and be perfect or you find yourself in a circle of never-ending internal conflict as your mind races in circles trying to figure it all out? Living in a pattern that leaves you unfilled doesn’t allow you to be your best self. Together we will explore what challenges you want to overcome, how they are affecting your life, and find strategies to move you forward. As your therapist, you will be met with respect and dignity giving you a safe place to be authentically you.

FAQs

I view all breakthroughs as significant in the therapeutic process. Therapeutic breakthroughs are enlightening moments throughout therapy, big and small, an individual shift in perception, a slight change, or a deeper understanding of self. It moves one forward to making progress toward their larger goal. One, in which many breakthroughs were discovered, was assisting someone in addressing significant childhood trauma, which released them from their anxiety, fear, sleep, and trust issues, allowing them to fully enjoy activities and engage with others without being triggered.

You will be respected, heard, and supported through your counseling process. Together we will explore areas of your life in which you seek change and be curious about patterns that have developed while gaining insights, processing emotions and sensations, and building skills. The therapeutic relationship is the most important element in therapy which is why I welcome open and honest communication with no judgment and respect.

The first session allows us to meet with an open relaxed conversation regarding your interest in therapy, the challenges you are facing, and what you want to achieve. Information will be gathered to get a better understanding of your needs, supports, and strengths. By the end of this session, you will know if I am a good fit for your needs and if you feel comfortable working with me.

Honestly, it is just who I am. I genuinely want people to be free of pain and suffering and have joy and peace in their lives.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an adult therapist and believe building a trusting therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of therapy and giving clients the space to be honest and authentic without judgment is essential. I work from a trauma lens, focusing on bad experiences, painful memories, and learned behaviors from the past that can produce unhelpful patterns and struggles in adulthood, breaking those bonds helps us move towards a more fulfilling life.
