Anna specializes in addressing anxiety and panic disorder in adolescents and adults. She has significant experience addressing grief and loss across the lifespan and addressing chronic medical conditions and terminal illness in adults. Anna is particularly interested in helping adults overcome anxiety and mood disorders, women’s issues, and working with the LGBTQI population. She prides herself on being LGBTQI welcoming, competent and affirming. Anna received her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University and has her LCSW. In Anna’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, painting, photography and art. Anna also loves traveling, exploring nature, hiking, and going to the beach.

I supported a client with panic attacks through treatment over six months using CBT to the point that she was able to overcome having them.

We would design a treatment plan and then begin treatment right away with client's input during the process.

The first session involves the intake assessment and designing the treatment plan as well as, introducing myself to the client. I explain how services will go and the rules of confidentiality as well as the no show policy.

Being able to see my clients heal and change in front of my eyes is a life changing experience and is why I do what I do.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I always try to instill positivity into my sessions no matter what the subject matter. Clients can also expect to feel lighter, as I often use humor in my sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize evidence-based therapies, including: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy & Strength Based Therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am able to build rapport quickly. I am a strengths based practitioner this means I can help you find your strengths quickly and we can use them to help you heal. I am detail oriented. I have a "think outside the box" approach to therapy. Lastly, I am told I have a funny sense of humor.
