Hello and Welcome! I am Ashley Flewellen. I am a licensed Professional Counselor with several years of experience working in various mental health settings, including in home therapy, outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient programs, psychiatric emergency rooms, and children’s shelters. I focus on helping each individual uniquely. Together, we will set goals and take steps to achieve them by utilizing coping techniques to allow you to become the best version of yourself. We will discuss different strategies on how to practice self care and effectively manage your emotions. No matter what challenges you are facing, I am here to be a listening ear and someone you can lean on in your times of need. Whether you have been on your therapy journey for a while or if you are new to your therapy journey, I am here to be with you step by step through it all.
Once I had a client whom was being bullied constantly at school and work. This caused an enormous toll on their mental health and their anxiety and depression started to increase. By working together on different coping strategies, they were able to decrease their anxiety and depression and live life to their fullest potential. This individual now works as an anti-bullying coordinator in schools and office environments throughout the nation.
Your needs always come first. I work from a completely client-centered dynamic. Together, we will set goals and take steps to achieve them. With me, you will be in a completely judgement free zone.
My first session with you will be allowing you to have a safe space to talk about anything that you feel comfortable sharing. There will be no rush, and you will be able to take all of the time that you need.
I have always had a passion for helping people ever since I was younger. I was motivated to be the strength of individuals when they felt as though they were at their lowest points, and together we would conquer battles. I enjoy being the shoulder that someone can lean on when they need it the most.
