In one particularly case, I worked with a married couple struggling with communication issues that were causing significant strain in their relationship. Initially, we identified that their communication problems were symptoms of deeper personal and marital issues. Through a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and personalized assessments, we focused on addressing each partner's individual needs and emotional challenges. This process involved exploring their personal histories, unmet needs, and emotional triggers.
In my counseling sessions, you can expect a supportive and structured environment where we will collaboratively work towards achieving your personal and therapeutic goals. I prioritize active listening and keen observation to fully understand your unique challenges and needs. We will set clear therapeutic goals and engage in targeted exercises, drawing on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help you challenge negative thought patterns.
In my first counseling session, you can expect a welcoming and confidential environment where we will begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. I will start by introducing myself and explaining the counseling process, including confidentiality and what you can expect from our sessions. We will then discuss your reasons for seeking counseling and any specific issues you are facing. I will ask questions to get a comprehensive understanding of you.
