About Me

Hi there, I’m Esther Mills. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twenty years of experience working in clinical settings, ranging from in-home therapy and consulting to outpatient counseling settings. I help people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, and relationship difficulties to manage and gain control of their emotions, understand their patterns of coping, and actively problem-solve. I also worked eleven years as a Behavior Consultant and work with parents who are feeling overwhelmed on strategies to manage their children’s behaviors. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

Frequently Asked Questions

I worked with a parent who stated that she was surprised at how quickly she was able to get her child’s behavior under control.

Though every person’s situation is unique, I generally approach the counseling process from a problem-solving framework and provide tools to help clients manage their emotions and develop healthy coping strategies to deal with life’s stressors.

My first session includes gathering information to complete an intake as well as collaborating on a treatment plan to support my client’s specific needs.

As a teenager I was always picking up self-help books to read. Thinking therapeutically has always come naturally to me.
