When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my four beloved dogs. Helping others is not just my profession; it's my life's calling. Jennifer Hamlett, MA, LPC-A Resident in Professional Counseling, is under the clinical supervision of Ebony Harrison, LPC, while obtaining supervised post-master’s degree experience per the laws and regulations governing the practice of Professional Counseling.


When I worked with a client that was healing her inner child and identifying her strengths and she looked at me and stated, “For the first time in my life, I truly feel special.”

I believe that every counseling journey is special and unique. My goal in the counseling process is to make you feel safe and create an environment where you can feel respect and empathy without fear of judgment.

The first session is getting to know you better and answering any questions or concerns you may have. I want to be as helpful as I can so I use this time to listen attentively to goals you want to achieve and challenges you may be facing. This understanding will enable me to design a personalized treatment plan for you.

What motivates me to be a therapist is my unrelenting drive to be alongside individuals in some of their darkest times. I see it as a complete honor that I do not take lightly. Attending therapy is a courageous step in one’s life and being part of someone’s self-discovery and witnessing their progress is my motivation.


    What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

    I believe that clients can expect a supportive and compassionate environment where their unique challenges and goals are addressed with personalized care. Clients will develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, enabling them to identify and overcome patterns that may be holding them back.Through evidence-based techniques, clients will learn effective strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. These skills empower them to navigate life's difficulties.

    What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

    I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems and EMDR practices.

    As your therapist, my primary strengths lie in my nonjudgmental, warm, and empathetic approach. I am deeply committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.
