Hello and welcome. My name is Jacob Clinebell. I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania & I am excited for the chance to begin working with you. I believe that everyone has the potential to improve their mental health, and I enjoy helping people find the skills they already possess. My job is to empower clients to utilize the skills they learn so that I am no longer needed in the future. I have extensive experience in treating veterans, trauma, and various mental health conditions.
There was one particular client who was very triggered by the stressors oflife. We discussed different techniques and landed on brainspotting. He hadbeen in therapy before, but had not tried this technique. It helped himimmensely. I taught him how to do the technique to himself and he was able toimprove at home. I knew he was ready for eventual discharge when he begangaining further insights into himself and better deal with life’s stressors.
I create a comfortable, warm, inviting, non-judgmental, and respectfulenvironment as if you were talking to a family member or friend.
During the first session, expect to be greeted warmly with a smile. We willaddress any issues or concerns you have before moving forward. We would thencomplete an intake assessment to gain more background about you to furtherpersonalize treatment.
I began my career as a therapist at Kean University in 2008. I majored inpsychology with a minor in health. I did not know in the beginning, but myinterest would be in mental health counseling. Upon graduating in 2012, Iimmediately began my graduate studies at Kean University with a master's incounseling. This is where I began my formal training which further increasedmy desire to help others. Seeing people improve and the impact therapy had onthem, I was hooked.
