About Me

Supervised by Kathleen Moore, LPC. Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas with experience working with a wide range of clients: young children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults. During this time I have learned how to incorporate art therapy techniques into the therapeutic process for an added layer of self discovery and self awareness. I have found that there are many reasons that someone can benefit from therapy/counseling whether its for navigating the daily troubles of life or for guidance through major life events or stressors. Whatever your reason, I'm here to talk.


FAQs

The breakthrough that I was able to assist a client through was one of self identity. This breakthrough originated as a desired career transition that opened up an entire lifetime of low self esteem and lack of identity. Therapy can go in many directions.

The counseling process can vary client to client, but generally follows an outline that begins with the client defining the problem then collaborating with me on goals and how to achieve them. We will then work towards these tangible goals, adding anything that needs to be added, until the client is able to successfully terminate counseling and guidance is no longer needed.

The first session will be all about the introduction. I will explain what you can expect from therapy and what your rights are as a client. Most importantly, you will tell me what it is that that you need from me; what brought you here and any goals you may have. Finally, we will determine a scheduling that fits your needs and go from there.

I have seen the benefits people can experience with the aid of therapy and I have witnessed those who have suffered in silence. It is my desire to help you fight the battle that goes on between the ears and remind you that you're not alone.

    Clients can expect to take away a sense of acceptance and safety as they begin the therapeutic process. My client is in control of what they are comfortable discussing in session and their safety and peace of mind will always take priority. I will be here to motivate, encourage, and support my clients throughout our professional relationship.

    I utilize evidence-based therapies, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy

    I did not go the traditional route of going from high school to college and straight into a counseling career. Instead my life took many twists and turns, highs and lows. These detours have helped to build my experience in life with different individuals from many walks of life. I feel that my ability to relate and connect to so many different people right where they are is one of my biggest strengths.
